Things in everyday life that will become the "NEW NORMAL" post pandemic
What is NORMAL?
Understanding the essence of the word NORMAL is very important. If we look at our own lives we use this word so frequently , and we say this is normal. It is normal to feel like this. Its normal to behave like this. The word normal... why it is so important. Because when we say this is normal .. we accept it as it is. There is no need to change this.
What is NEW NORMAL?
New normal means a new way of living and going about our lives, work and interaction with our people. The change that has taken place in our normal is new normal. As the world is facing is facing Covid pandemic it has changed our normal life. These changes are now our new normal.
COVID-19 pandemic has totally changed our lives, lifestyle, society, and everything around us. We can expect to see lots of changes when we get out of this. The world might be a different place when this all will over. Every normal thing might change into new normal.
* Working out of home has become the new normal. Nobody could have imagined such a scenario . But now, it is reality.
Work has also change due to social distancing. So many of us shifted to working from home to minimise travelling on public transport and gathering in groups at the office. Zoom meetings even became our New Normal. With restrictions easing, we may cautiously rotate back into working at the office in shifts, or embrace working from home on a more regular basis.
* Education as we know it has change. Schools and universities have moved online, some blending face-to-face with online lectures.
* In coming days, people will focus more on personal health and enrichment.
* Mask will be our new accessory while stepping out.
* Covering faces, washing hands frequently, not sneezing in the open, etc., will become normal habits.
* Social distancing has now become part of our life.
* Queuing is now the norm, be it when visiting health professionals, going to the shops, or even getting in a lift.
* Public transport looks very different, with social distancing in place and commuters wearing masks and gloves.
* No more high-fives, hugs and hand shakes. People are switching to verbal greetings .Social greetings have morphed. Gone are the days of greeting friends and extended relatives with handshakes, hugs, and cheek-kisses. Friendly gestures like these are now being curbed, to be replaced by elbow bumps and foot-shakes, or waves from a (social) distance.
* People will shift towards believing science. More scientist, less politicians.
* Our trust or mistrust in government will increase depends on how the government deal with it.
* People will understand the value of Hospitals and doctors instead of religious places.
* People will understand that they should stop dominating nature.
